Do you recall East Lancs school with thermometer on wall?

There may be some Looking Back readers who remember going in through the front door of this building every day.

Taken in 1953, the photo shows Four Lane Ends School in Blackburn and the date stone above the main door says that the school was built in 1894.

On the side of the school wall you can see a large, outdoor thermometer advertising Stephen's Inks - no Biros in those days.
